Submission deadline: Sunday 25 March 2018
Meeting/presentation date: TBC
Prize: Up to £3k to cover travel/accommodation to an educational meeting of the winners’ choice, plus a certificate for their portfolio. If a joint application the prize money will be split 50:50.
Open to: All MSK specialists and researchers who are interested in orthopaedic related infections.
Word limit: 1500


Applicants are invited to submit an essay on:

How do bearing types and fixation methods affect infection rates after hip arthroplasty, and how would you investigate further?

Entry is strictly 1 submission per applicant/s.

The essay submission pages must avoid headings, acknowledgements, names or institutions or anything that may reveal the author’s identity. Applicants must have personally written the essay for submission.

The winning essay will be published on the ORUK website and in our quarterly enewsletter.
