Patrick Latham is a Chartered Accountant with 40 years’ experience of all aspects of financial and management accounting and planning. He worked for Cancer Research UK from 1987 to 2012, initially as Finance Director and then in Legacy Fundraising, until his retirement in May 2012. Prior to this, he worked for a shipping group in the City and for a USA international food company.
He was one of five founders of the Charity Finance Directors’ Group in 1987. This now has 1350 charity members and is a major lobbying force in the Voluntary Sector. Until May 2010, he served as finance director of the Institute of Legacy Management representing 400 charities with combined legacy income of £2bn per annum.
Post retirement, Patrick has been a trustee of the Cancer Research UK Pension Scheme. In addition to Orthopaedic Research UK, he is also a trustee of a Commonwealth charity based in London.
He is an enthusiastic golfer and has a keen interest in horse racing and cricket.
