Arash joined ORUK- previously known as the Furlong Research Charitable Foundation – as a research assistant in January 2008. Over the years he has been instrumental in the strategic development and rebranding of the charity, with a strong focus on expanding the research programme. Arash was appointed as the Chief Executive in January 2016 and together with his team and other stakeholders, they successfully published a new 5 year strategy in order to help the charity become a more public facing organisation. He has been involved in significantly expanding the training and educational programmes for both clinicians and scientists. He is an agile leader by nature and has a strong desire to implement a multidisciplinary collaboration through integration of untapped technologies and big data in orthopaedic research in order to accelerate discoveries to find new treatments, cures and preventions for patients affected by painful and debilitating bone and joint conditions.
Arash is an all-time Arsenal Football Club fan (Gooner) and is currently developing a keen interest in cycling.
