Niel enjoys combining his full time clinical work with educational activities and is a convenor and faculty on multiple national and regional trauma orthopaedic courses. He understands the need for clinical application of basic principles, without information overload, to ensure key facts are retained in the long term and not just for exams.
Niel is director of Education East of England Trauma & Orthopaedic Higher Surgical Training Rotation and associate lecturer, School of Clinical Medicine, University of Cambridge. He is also a member of the ODEP Shoulder Board.
