Terms and conditions

Registration

Our events and courses are extremely popular and usually have limited spaces, so please ensure you register early to avoid disappointment. We are unable to provisionally hold places and can only confirm a booking once full payment has been made.

Once your booking has been submitted you will receive an email confirmation within 48 hours. If you do not receive your booking confirmation within this time, please contact the events team via email: events@oruk.org or telephone:  +44 (0)20 7307 3013.

Payment methods

The quickest way to register and confirm your place on our events and courses is by registering online using a credit or debit card. In order for you to register online you will need to register as a user on our website first, to do so please follow this link: www.oruk.org/register

We accept payment made via cheques, these are to be made payable to ‘Orthopaedic Research UK’ and posted to the address detailed on the registration form. All cheques must be accompanied by a completed registration form.

We accept payment via direct bank transfer, our transfer details are listed on the registration form. For BACS payments please ensure you complete and return a registration form via email: events@oruk.org or post.

Cancellation policy

If you wish to cancel your place at an Orthopaedic Research UK event you must do so by telephoning +44 (0)20 7307 3013 or emailing: events@oruk.org Please note that you must receive an email from Orthopaedic Research UK confirming that your place has been cancelled.

Within 24 hours of booking

Cancellations made within 24 hours of registration will receive a full refund.

6 weeks prior to an event/course

Written cancellations received 6 weeks prior to an event or course will incur a £25 administration fee.

3-6 weeks prior to an event/course

Written cancellations received between 3 – 6 weeks prior to the event will incur 25% of the registration fee.

Less than 3 weeks prior to an event/course

No refunds will be made less than 3 weeks before the event/course start date. In some cases we may accept the registration fee received as payment towards a place on the same or another event/course that takes place within 12 months following the originally booked event date. This is at the discretion of Orthopaedic Research UK and will be viewed on an individual basis. Bookings can only be transferred once. Substitutions can be made at any time. Please call +44 (0) 20 7307 3013 to make any amendments to your booking.

Orthopaedic Research UK reserves the right to cancel any event. We aim to give as much prior notice as possible. The full registration fee will be refunded unless a mutually convenient transfer within a 12 month period can be arranged. In the event that Orthopaedic Research UK postpones an event for any reason and the delegate is unable to attend on the rescheduled date, they will receive a full refund of the registration fee paid.

Orthopaedic Research UK shall assume no liability in the event a conference is cancelled, rescheduled or postponed due to an unintended event, Act of God, unforeseen occurrence or any other event that renders performance of this conference impracticable, illegal or impossible. For purposes of this clause, a fortuitous event shall include, but not be limited to: war, fire, labour strike, extreme weather or other emergency.

Please note that while speakers and topics were confirmed at the time of publishing, circumstances beyond the control of the organisers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. As such, Orthopaedic Research UK reserves the right to alter or modify the publicised speakers and/or topics if necessary without any liability whatsoever. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on our website as soon as possible.
